Fahid Island, a new Dh40 billion masterplanned community by Aldar that aims to reinvent coastal living with an emphasis on community, sustainability, and wellness, is expected to provide new life to Abu Dhabi's real estate market. Unveiled on Monday, the 2.7 million square meter island will have 4.6 km of beaches, a dedicated waterfront promenade, a fitness corridor of 10 km, and over 6,000 upscale residences.
Being marketed as the first coastal wellness island in Abu Dhabi, it has already obtained Fitwel accreditation, making it the first island globally to comply with the worldwide healthy construction standard.
Fahid Island, which is between the islands of Yas and Saadiyat, is ideally situated to provide easy access to Abu Dhabi's tourist attractions, cultural attractions, and aviation hubs, such as Zayed International Airport, all of which are within 15 minutes' drive. The Fahid Beach Residences, the first houses to be made available, will consist of seven mid-rise structures with 65 apartments apiece. Ultra-luxury villas and townhouses are also planned.
A 2km promenade with shops, restaurants, art exhibits, and public areas will be part of the development, while the Coral Drive retail boulevard will contain concept stores, cafes, boutiques, and a dance school.
