Dubai’s Diwali festivities have kicked off with dazzling celebrations featuring concerts, fireworks, mega sales, and golden prizes. The Festival of Lights 2025 began on Friday night with musical performances by top Indian artists, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of music, joy, and culture from October 17 to 26.
Organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s Diwali unites residents and visitors from over 200 countries for ten days of entertainment, shopping, and family fun. Nearly Dh500,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs through exciting promotions and giveaways.
The celebrations started with a stunning fireworks display at Souk Al Seef, followed by live shows at Global Village. Highlights include Russell Peters’ comedy at Coca-Cola Arena, Ilaiyaraja’s concert at Dubai Opera, and Andrea Jeremiah’s performance at Etisalat Academy. Souk Al Seef is hosting Noor – Festival of Lights from October 17 to 19, featuring workshops, live music, and cultural shows, while Dubai Festival Plaza presents Lights and Legends: The Stories of Diwali on October 24–25.
Shoppers can enjoy discounts of up to 75% at top brands like Rituals, Michael Kors, Carrefour, and Swarovski. Malls such as City Centre Deira, BurJuman, and WAFI City are hosting cultural activities and children’s workshops, with City Centre Deira presenting the region’s first Escalator Fashion Show.
Jewelry retailers, including Damas and the Dubai Jewellery Group, are offering gold promotions with up to Dh250,000 in prizes, free coins, and major discounts. Restaurants across Dubai are serving special Diwali menus inspired by rich Indian flavors, from royal thalis to beloved street foods.
