The Al Barari Underpass on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) will have a traffic detour beginning on Saturday, June 28, 2025, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai. It is anticipated that the diversion would continue for two months as part of ongoing efforts to resurface local roads and enhance groundwater and rainwater drainage systems.
To prevent delays, drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes, such as the Dubai–Al Ain Bridge (U-turn towards Jebel Ali) or the crossroads of Global Village Underpass and Umm Suqeim Street (U-turn towards Sharjah). To guarantee a smooth commute, preparation is highly advised.
The Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) in Sharjah has declared a complete road closure between Al Corniche Street and Al Intifada Street. The first phase of an infrastructure improvement project will be marked by this closure, which will run from Friday, June 27 to Sunday, July 27.
Traffic in Abu Dhabi will also alter. From Friday, June 27 to Monday, June 30, Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street will be partially closed. Furthermore, from 12 a.m. on June 27 to 5 a.m. on June 30, the free right turn from this street to Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Street will be blocked.
