Dubai’s RTA is upgrading the public bus network

The public bus system in the emirate is undergoing a number of upgrades by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to facilitate easier and more effective transportation. Improved service coverage, shorter travel times, and improved accessibility are the goals of the improvements in important residential, commercial, and emerging districts.

A number of routes have been modified as part of the update, adding new termination points and updated routes through industrial and residential areas. Better connectivity for commuters in expanding neighborhoods is ensured by the addition of new bus stations in developing districts.

Several bus lines in Dubai have undergone updates and modifications, including:

Terminus or Stop Changes

Route 17: Now terminates at Baniyas Square Metro Station (previously Sabkha Bus Station).

Route E16: Now terminates at Union Bus Station (instead of Sabkha).

Route C26 & F27: Bus stop moved from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Max Metro Bus Stop 2.

Rerouted Services:

Route 24: Rerouted within Al Nahda 1.

Route 44: Now serves Dubai Festival City, rerouted from Rebat Street.

Route F12: Curtailed between Satwa Roundabout and Wasal Park, now routed via Kuwait Street.

Route F47: Rerouted within the Jebel Ali Industrial area.
