Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a Ramadan road safety campaign, distributing 40,000 awareness leaflets with iftar meals and gifts to taxi drivers, delivery riders and workers across the emirate in partnership with government and private entities, including Dubai Police General Headquarters and Careem.
The initiative promotes safe driving during the Holy Month and supports efforts to reduce traffic accidents.
RTA has also revised truck movement restrictions during Ramadan. On the E11 corridor and key city areas, restrictions will run from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm (instead of 6:00 am to 10:00 pm). Morning and midday restriction windows on selected roads have been shifted by one hour, while on Emirates Road, restrictions will apply from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Truck movement remains prohibited year-round on several locations, including Al Shindagha Tunnel, Al Maktoum Bridge and Al Garhoud Bridge.
