Dubai International Airport has introduced a new smart ‘red carpet corridor’ at Terminal 3, streamlining departure procedures. Travelers can now pass through without presenting a passport or boarding pass, and without stopping, as the tunnel processes up to 10 people at once, ensuring a faster and smoother journey.
The completely automated, document-free approach uses biometric cameras, artificial intelligence, and linked flight data to authenticate travelers' identities, validate reservations, and handle their departure.
Passengers must link their passport information to a biometric photo and register in advance.
According to the GDRFA, the smart tunnel is now only accessible for Terminal 3's business class departures.
