Emirates launches handcrafted luggage collection from upcycled aircraft interiors

People can now travel in style with a unique range of cabin bags, suitcases, backpacks, and handbags crafted by the airline itself. Each piece in the Aircrafted by Emirates 2025 Collection is thoughtfully designed and handmade by Emirates’ own tailors, using upcycled materials sourced from retired A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft.

These repurposed materials—once part of aircraft interiors—are meticulously cleaned at a dedicated facility. They undergo deep hand-cleaning, leather conditioning, and thorough disinfection before being transformed into one-of-a-kind travel accessories. The bags are enhanced with new lining, practical zippers, and in some cases, actual seatbelt straps from Emirates.

The Emirates Official Store is offering the limited-edition range for sale. The latest collection includes three new styles of trolley bags, which were the most popular items from the launch collection. There are two styles of backpacks and handbags – one is crafted from fur sourced from the captain’s seat.

The cost of each handcrafted item varies between approximately Dhs290 and Dhs1,250.

All bags are designed and handcrafted by Emirates tailors in a specialized cabin workshop located within the airline’s engineering facility in Dubai.

A dedicated team of 14 tailors, known as Engineering Maintenance Assistants, is responsible for repairing and stitching any damage to the interiors of the airline’s fleet.
