Emirates Skywards is celebrating its 25th year with one of the biggest prize campaigns in the airline business, giving away 25 million miles to its 37 million members globally as part of a 25-day anniversary celebration that began today.
The centerpiece of the celebration is a 25 million mile raffle in which participants can win anywhere from 100,000 to 250,000 miles, with one grand prize winner taking home one million miles. Members can participate by accruing Skywards points with flydubai, Emirates, or other participating partners during the event, which ends on October 20.
Emirates will also introduce a commemorative aircraft livery with a dazzling silver pattern to commemorate the silver jubilee. The special aircraft will begin flying to international destinations next month.
Additional perks include 25% extra miles for partner airline reservations, eating, and shopping, and 50% bonus miles for reservations made on Emirates and flydubai. Special events at Dubai International Airport in early October will include free ice cream from branded Skywards trucks, interactive quizzes, and lounge access.
Today, Emirates Skywards offers access to more than 1,400 flight destinations, 30,000 hotel accommodations, and 7,200 retail brands through partnerships with more than 100 businesses. Since its launch, members have redeemed around 400 billion Skywards miles, with the program processing more than 120,000 transactions per day.
