
Previously limited to 30 days per visit, Emirati citizens with ordinary passports can now stay in Japan for up to 90 days. The new rule, which will take effect on June 1, 2025, is a reflection of the UAE and Japan's expanding bilateral ties.
The decision was announced by the UAE Embassy in Japan, which also noted that the longer stay will provide for more prospects for academic collaboration, business, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
