The Ruler of Sharjah proclaimed a new mountainous tourist road project to Khorfakkan on July 17, calling it "a wonder never seen before."
The route will twist and turn over mountain peaks and slopes, beginning at the Al Ghuzair Tunnel and culminating at Khorfakkan's highest peak, which stands 1,100 metres above sea level.
With trees, plantations, water channels, and lovely residences lining the road, the journey will become a charming tourist experience in the gentle and cool winter weather. Moreover, the road is to be transformed from a highway into a pleasant tourist route that caters to the scattered villages in the vicinity.
