Schools in the UAE are not allowed to use online meal delivery services. With the long-term objective of creating lifelong patterns of healthy nutrition, these actions are a part of a larger drive by authorities to encourage youngsters to eat healthily.
At the beginning of the academic year, the Department of Education and Knowledge – Abu Dhabi (ADEK) issued new regulations mandating that schools strengthen their policies for healthy eating, which included prohibiting food delivery services during school hours.
