According to the chief immigration officer in the emirate, residents who have unpaid traffic penalties would no longer be eligible to renew their residency visas.
During a news briefing, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, urged citizens to abide by local laws and accept responsibility for any fines that may still be owed.
