The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has initiated yearly incentive and reward schemes for franchise businesses and taxi drivers, totaling more than Dh8 million, as part of a larger initiative to raise service standards throughout the emirate.
The action coincides with the implementation of 28 development projects in 2025 that are meant to enhance the overall quality of service provided by Dubai's taxi industry, as well as passenger comfort and operational effectiveness. Drivers, franchise businesses, and passengers are all covered by these programs.
Important projects included modernizing driver uniforms with fabrics appropriate for shifting weather conditions, increasing allocations to six sets per driver, and implementing cutting-edge technologies and high-precision sensors to monitor in-vehicle air quality in real-time.
In order to enhance the customer experience, the RTA additionally installed steps including installing leather upholstery in place of taxi seat textiles, connecting trip evaluation results to RTA systems for ongoing enhancement, and providing air fresheners in taxis to guarantee a comfortable ride.
