According to Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of the RTA's Public Transport Agency, all new Etihad Rail stations will have direct connections to cabs and feeder buses, guaranteeing commuters a smooth last-mile journey.
Etihad Rail is a significant advancement in the transportation infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, with plans to begin passenger services in 2026. Dubai is establishing a new benchmark for effective, environmentally responsible, and passenger-focused transportation by connecting rail stations with feeder buses and taxis. From Al Sila in the west of Abu Dhabi to Fujairah on the east coast, the 900km Etihad Rail passenger network will link 11 cities throughout all seven emirates, bringing the UAE's emirates closer than ever with quick, dependable, and comprehensive travel alternatives. The bus and subway systems in Dubai will be fully integrated to maximize convenience. This extensive connectivity would allow for simple, hassle-free transfers between buses, cabs, metro, and trains, cutting down on passenger travel expenses and times.

Dubai Station: Easily accessible by cab, RTA bus, and Dubai Metro
Abu Dhabi Station: Accessible by public buses and city routes
Local public transportation terminals provide easy access to the stations in Sharjah and Fujairah.
Through a partnership between Etihad Rail and the RTA, passengers will be able to use their current Nol cards throughout the whole rail and public transportation network. With this single ticketing system, fare payments will be made easier, public transportation use will be encouraged, and sustainability will be promoted.
When operations start the following year, the passenger stations in Dubai and Fujairah will be important centers within the national railway network. The Etihad Rail-developed and operated national project will improve connectivity between the various UAE regions by offering a modern, safe, and sustainable form of transportation.
