In its 81st online auction, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it would give away 300 unique three-, four-, and five-digit license plate codes to both private and vintage car owners. Plates from the following series will be included in the special codes: A, B, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.
The auction's registration will open on Monday, October 27, 2025, and bidding will begin on Monday, November 3, 2025, and last for five days. Bidders must have an active traffic file in Dubai, and 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) will be applied to all plate transactions.
Bidders must pay a non-refundable Dh120 participation fee and a Dh5,000 security check payable to the RTA in order to participate. You can pay in person at the RTA Customer Happiness Centers in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or online with a credit card.
Payment must be made by winning bidders within ten business days after the auction's conclusion. Up to Dh50,000 can be paid with cash; larger amounts can be paid online or at RTA service centers using a certified check or credit card.
