Second year Al Freej Fridge campaign distributes cold drinks and frozen treats to workers

In Dubai, hundreds of frontline workers are receiving cool drinks and frozen treaties as part of the second edition of the Al Freej Fridge campaign. "Al Freej" means neighborhood in Arabic.

With the help of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the UAE Water Aid Foundation, also known as Suqia, and the UAE Food Bank, the campaign, spearheaded by the neighborhood community initiative Ferjan Dubai, intends to provide over two million bottles of water, juice, and frozen treats to Dubai's frontline workers.

The program is expected to assist workers around Dubai during the summer, including landscapers, construction workers, cleaners, and delivery drivers.

According to the organizers, fixed refrigerators at worker housing and mobile refrigerated trucks guarantee steady access to cold beverages. Additionally, volunteers are delivering drinks to locations throughout the city in their own cars.
