
According to the 2025 edition of the World Competitiveness Yearbook, which is published by the IMD World Competitiveness Center, the United Arab Emirates has achieved a significant international milestone by claiming the top global ranking in ten important labor market and employment indicators.
Together with these top rankings, the UAE also obtained second place in four indicators, third in three, fourth in two, and fifth, sixth, and eighth in one indicator each.
The UAE showed notable improvements across numerous other benchmarks and held its top spot on several long-standing indicators despite fierce competition from sophisticated countries.
According to the 2025 World Competitiveness Yearbook, the UAE secured the top global position in the following indicators:
- Employment rate
- Working hours
- Workforce growth
- Low labour disputes
- Low costs of terminating employment
- Availability of international experience
- Availability of senior specialised managers
- Labour market competitiveness
- Employment growth
- Absence of bureaucracy
