His Excellency Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, has announced the launch of the 15th Sharjah Light Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The opening ceremony took place at the Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre, a leading scientific and cultural landmark, and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, along with senior officials and large crowds.
This year’s edition will run for two weeks, illuminating 13 locations across Sharjah’s cities and regions. The festival will showcase the Emirate’s most iconic landmarks through spectacular light displays created by renowned international artists, complemented by a variety of cultural and entertainment activities.
