The successful test flight of Abu Dhabi's flying taxi at Al Bateen Executive Airport was announced on Wednesday.
The successful flight was confirmed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (Adio) and US-based Archer Aviation ahead of its scheduled commercial launch in early 2019.
Joby Aviation successfully launched a test flight in Dubai a few days before to Abu Dhabi's successful test flight launch. Within the next several quarters, both emirates hope to introduce flying taxis.
