Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has launched a WPS-compliant digital service that enables individual employers to register and pay employee salaries through the ADIB Mobile Banking app, while corporate employers can access the service via the ADIB Direct app. The bank is among the first in the UAE to offer this capability.
Developed in partnership with Al Etihad Payments (AEP) and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the service ensures full regulatory compliance. Through WPS integration, employers can verify employee and salary data, and report paid or unpaid salaries with the required justifications.
The solution also enables in-country employee verification, enhances transparency and regulatory reporting, and improves accuracy. By providing direct access to MoHRE databases through ADIB’s secure digital platforms, it eliminates the need for physical documents while giving employers greater compliance, visibility, and control.
