The self-sponsored visa, issued by GDRFA Dubai, is available to eligible travellers of all nationalities. Valid for five years, it allows multiple entries and stays of up to 90 days per visit, extendable to 180 days annually.
Documents required:
- Valid passport with at least six months’ validity
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Valid health insurance
- Round-trip air ticket
- Bank statements for the past six months
The bank statement must be in the applicant’s name and attested, showing a minimum balance of $4,000 (Dh14,690) over the previous six months. Applicants must also have valid UAE health insurance. GDRFA Dubai may request additional documents or information if required.
The total application cost is around Dh3,713, including visa and service fees plus a refundable Dh3,000 guarantee. Additional charges may apply for applicants already in the UAE, and the final cost can vary depending on individual circumstances.

Entry Validity:
- The visa is valid for entry within two months of issuance.
- This can be extended by another two months.
- The one-year stay period starts from the first entry date.
Stay Duration:
- Stay for up to 90 days continuously or intermittently per year.
- The stay can be extended by another 90 days, up to a maximum of 180 days per year.
- Unused days cannot be carried forward.

- Create a GDRFA account and log in to Smart Services.
- Select “New 5 Years Tourism Entry Permit.”
- Complete the application with your personal, passport and travel details.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the fees and submit the application.
- Track the application using the reference number and receive the visa by email/SMS after approval.
