Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced extended public transport services for New Year’s celebrations, with the Dubai Metro operating continuously for 43 hours. The Red and Green Lines will run non-stop from 5am on Wednesday, December 31, until 11.59pm on Thursday, January 1, 2026, to ease traffic and encourage public transport use.
The Dubai Tram will also operate longer hours, running from 6am on New Year’s Eve until 1am on Friday, January 2. Commuters should note that Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station may close from 5pm on December 31 if overcrowded, with nearby stations available as alternatives.
