The most recent iteration of the Dubai Municipality's home-garden competition has begun, urging residents to transform their areas into water-smart, sustainable mini-oases. Climate-friendly plants, water conservation, the use of renewable energy sources, and innovative design are all encouraged by the competition, The Most Beautiful Sustainable Home Garden in Dubai.
Residents of Dubai who own or rent a property with an outdoor garden area are eligible to enter the tournament. Experience in farming is not necessary. Rooftop or indoor gardens are not acceptable.
The deadline for entries is December 21. Judges will tour the shortlisted gardens in January and February of 2026, and the winners will be revealed at a ceremony in March of the same year.
Water efficiency, biodiversity, soil health, maintenance, safety, and creative concepts are just a few of the ten criteria that will be used to choose the winners. Dh100,000 for first place, Dh70,000 for second, and Dh40,000 for third place are all included in the prize pool. In addition to the top five shortlisted entries entering a Dh10,000 raffle draw, the following two winners will each get Dh20,000.
Residents can sign up for the competition through the Dubai Municipality’s official website.
