Dubai Police has issued a public safety alert to residents as unstable weather is expected across the emirate in the coming days. A warning message was sent to mobile phones throughout Dubai at around 9.05pm on Saturday, December 13, calling on the public to take necessary safety precautions.
Residents were advised to avoid beaches and marine activities, stay away from valleys and flood-prone areas, drive with caution, and strictly follow instructions issued by the authorities.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said weather conditions are likely to become unstable across the UAE toward the end of the week. In its five-day forecast released on Tuesday, December 16, the NCM forecast scattered rainfall and convective cloud formation on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 16 and 17.
Unsettled conditions are expected to continue on Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies, scattered rainfall in several areas, and a noticeable drop in temperatures on Friday. Rain is also forecast over northern and eastern regions on Saturday, December 20, along with moderate winds. Residents have been urged to remain cautious and monitor official updates.
