Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the Madinati smart reporting service on WhatsApp using the "Mahboub" chatbot. The program enables residents and visitors to report problems with infrastructure and public transportation facilities, such as pavements, bus shelters, traffic lights, directional signs, and other assets.
Users may take a photo of the damage and share it instantly over WhatsApp, making the reporting procedure faster and easier. The reports are delivered to the appropriate RTA departments for action, which helps to reduce response times.
In the first half of 2025, the RTA's Call Centre received 6,525 reports via the Madinati service. The platform also accepts proposals for infrastructure and streets.
