Dubai’s RTA has launched AI-powered smart dashboards at its Bus Operations Control Centre, enabling real-time monitoring and management of bus services to improve public transport efficiency and reliability.
Developed by RTA’s Public Transport Agency and AI Centre, the dashboards use AI to track departures, predict trip cancellations, respond to metro disruptions, and optimise bus routes, with all tools now integrated into daily operations.
Since its launch, the system has reduced early departures by over 68%, improved response to metro disruptions, enhanced passenger experience through automated alerts, and cut more than 13,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions through more efficient operations.
