Dubai’s upcoming Joby Aviation air taxi service is set to offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional transport, with fares eventually expected to match ride-hailing apps. While pricing is still being finalised, RTA’s Ahmed Bahrozyan said initial rates will be cheaper than helicopter travel.
The project advances Dubai’s plan to integrate air taxis into its public transport network. After desert trials, Joby completed the UAE’s first point-to-point electric air taxi flight, and visitors to the Dubai Airshow can see the aircraft in action.
