Emirates has begun upgrading its fleet with next-generation Starlink Wi-Fi, with its first flagship Airbus A380 now equipped with the service.
The new system offers up to 1,000x faster speeds and a “better-than-home” internet experience at 40,000 feet, now available free across all cabin classes.
The rollout will continue through mid-2027, with 25 Boeing 777-300ERs already equipped and A380 upgrades underway since February 2026 at a rate of about 14 aircraft per month.
Each Boeing 777 will have two antennas, while the A380 will feature three for enhanced connectivity, allowing passengers to stream, browse, and stay connected across devices throughout the flight.
The system also allows easy one-click access without payment or membership, and will eventually support live TV streaming on personal devices before expanding to seatback screens. The first commercial flight with Starlink took off shortly after the Dubai Airshow in November last year.
