Emirates has announced plans to hire close to 20,000 operational employees by the end of the decade, as the Dubai-based carrier gears up for a significant expansion of its aircraft fleet and global route network.
The announcement was made by Adel Al Redha, Deputy President and Chief Operations Officer of Emirates, during a media roundtable held at the airline’s headquarters in Dubai on Wednesday.
The large-scale recruitment campaign will cover a wide range of operational positions across the airline. Opportunities will be open for cabin crew, pilots, engineers, technicians and airport services staff. While Emirates continues to attract applications from both within the UAE and from overseas, and operates its own training programmes, these initiatives alone are not sufficient to meet the airline’s growing workforce requirements.
