Dubai’s flagship carrier, Emirates, will serve specially curated Iftar meal boxes to passengers across all cabin classes during Ramadan.
The nutritionally balanced boxes include mezze such as hummus, moutabel or muhammara with bread, a chicken mossakan or herbed chicken sandwich, assorted baklawa and chocolate almonds, along with laban. The airline calculates imsak and iftar timings using the aircraft’s exact location, with the captain announcing sunset onboard. Prayer mats are available on request.
At select boarding gates, complimentary Iftar boxes with water, laban, a banana and dates will be distributed. Lounges at DXB will offer regional sweets, Arabic coffee and traditional dishes, with the Ramadan boxes served in addition to the regular hot meal service.
