Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways carried a record 22.4 million passengers in 2025, a 21 per cent increase year-on-year and the highest in its history.
The airline’s passenger load factor rose to 88.3 per cent, up two points from 2024, reflecting strong demand and disciplined capacity growth across its expanding network. In December alone, Etihad flew 2.2 million passengers, up 28 per cent compared with the same month last year, with a load factor of 87.6 per cent.
Etihad said its growth accounted for nearly half of the UAE’s total passenger traffic increase in 2025, highlighting its key role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s tourism and economic ambitions.
