Etihad Rail will expand passenger services on September 30, 2026, with the opening of Dubai and Al Dhaid stations, boosting connectivity across the UAE.
The remaining stations will open in phases:
November 30, 2026: Madinat Zayed and Liwa (Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi)
December 30, 2026: Al Sila, Al Dhannah and Al Mirfa (Al Dhafra)
March 30, 2027: Sharjah University City Station, completing the first phase of the passenger network.
Ticket prices for the introductory Abu Dhabi–Fujairah route include a 50% launch discount:
Comfort Class: From Dh55 (regular fare Dh109)
Premium Class: From Dh120 (regular fare Dh239)
Passengers can choose from Saver, Value, and Flex fare options, with varying levels of flexibility and benefits. Discounted fares are also available for children and senior citizens. Prices for future routes will be announced closer to their launch dates.
Etihad Rail will be integrated with the UAE's public transport network through feeder buses, taxis, metro connections, and Nol card payments in Dubai, making onward travel easier for passengers. Once fully operational, the 900km passenger network will connect 11 cities and regions across all seven emirates, stretching from Al Sila near the Saudi border to Fujairah on the east coast.
