Etihad Rail has revealed comprehensive details of the UAE’s national passenger rail network, representing a significant step forward in the country’s transport and infrastructure ambitions. The network will link 11 cities and regions through a series of strategically placed stations, creating the UAE’s first fully integrated passenger rail system.
Designed to improve connectivity between the Emirates, the project will provide safe, efficient and reliable travel for citizens, residents and visitors. Earlier this year, Etihad Rail announced four main stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah. The company has now confirmed additional stations in Al Sila, Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa, Madinat Zayed, Mezairaa, Al Faya and Al Dhaid, which will be brought into operation in phases.
