Etihad Rail has revealed the first routes of its passenger network, linking Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah. Services are expected to start in 2026, with trains carrying up to 400 passengers at speeds of 200 km/h.
Travel times will be about an hour between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and 90 minutes to Fujairah. The network aims to ease commuter traffic, boost tourism, and offer an alternative to busy roads. Initial stations will be in Mohamed bin Zayed City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, and Fujairah’s Sakamkam.
Plans are also underway for a high-speed Abu Dhabi–Dubai line, cutting travel time to 30 minutes.
