Inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week – ADGHW will commence on May 13

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) is hosting the first Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week (ADGHW), which will serve as a forum to promote cooperation, investment, and innovation throughout the world's healthcare and life science sectors.

According to a top official speaking to the media, the three-day event starting on May 13 would bring together health ministers, international politicians, innovators, researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs to examine the paradigm shift from healthcare to health. From the traditional reactive model of treating illnesses to a proactive focus on promoting holistic health and wellness, the event will mark a significant paradigm shift in how societies approach the concept of well-being and reflect a broader understanding of what constitutes true health.

The occasion will act as a spark for ideas to flow and a shared vision for improved global health in the future. The biotech revolution, the potential of data and AI in healthcare, tech-enabled new models of care, and personalized precision care will all be major areas of attention.

AT the Adnec, an event with the topic "Accelerating the future of global healthcare" is anticipated to draw in about 5,000 participants, 1,000 delegates, 200 speakers, and 100 exhibitors. During the event, cross-sector collaboration will be encouraged to address crucial concerns and practical tactics to discover answers to the most serious global healthcare challenges.

The Future Health Summit will feature panel discussions, keynote addresses, and panel discussions around topics important to the healthcare sector throughout the day, with an emphasis on making an effect at the individual, community, and global levels. Themes include artificial intelligence, microbiomes, longevity, regenerative medicine, genomics, and a rapidly expanding center for precision and preventive care.

To realize the vision of better health, the DoH is working with important strategic partners in the healthcare ecosystem, such as M42, PureHealth, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Burjeel Holdings, GSK, Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD), Novartis, Viatris, AstraZeneca, Sanofi, and more.
