Indian Missions in UAE launch online portal for passport, visa, attestation appointments

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai have launched a dedicated online portal for Indian expats in the UAE to book appointments for passport, visa, attestation and other consular services. Appointments can be booked at book.passportindiauae.com between 9am and 1pm.

The missions have also revised temporary walk-in arrangements following the delayed launch of the unified Indian Consular Application Centres. Applicants may enter 15 minutes before their appointment, with only the applicant allowed inside, except for minor applicants accompanied by both parents.

In Abu Dhabi, passport and visa applicants should use the Embassy's main gate, while in Dubai, passport and visa services will be available through Gate No. 2 and attestation and related services through Gate No. 1.

Priority for walk-in services will be given to newborn cases and emergency certificates, with all other applicants advised to book appointments in advance.

Guidelines for applicants

Submit a completed application form along with all required supporting documents.

Fill out the passport application online and carefully follow the instructions for uploading photographs, signatures and documents.

Ensure signatures or thumb impressions are uploaded clearly against a white background.

Carry the exact cash amount, as only cash payments will be accepted.

Note that the revised passport fee structure has been in effect since July 1, 2026.
