Jebel Jais is set to officially reopen on Saturday, January 31, 2026, welcoming visitors back after a temporary shutdown for essential maintenance and safety inspections following heavy rainfall in December.
The UAE’s highest peak will reopen in stages to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone. Here’s what visitors need to know:
January 31: The reopening begins with two major attractions resuming operations — Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline, and 1484 by Puro, the UAE’s highest restaurant.
February 7: One week later, the Jais Sky Tour, a thrilling multi-zipline adventure, will reopen to the public.
However, not all areas will be accessible immediately. The Red Rock area will remain closed as maintenance work continues.
There is also an important update regarding access to the mountain. Visitors can no longer drive up without prior arrangements.
Guests with bookings: Those with confirmed reservations for the zipline, sledder, or restaurant can proceed as usual.
Leisure visitors: Anyone visiting purely for scenic views, fresh mountain air, or to enjoy the hiking and cycling trails must purchase a Viewing Deck Park ticket priced at Dh10.
This phased reopening ensures safety while allowing visitors to once again enjoy one of the UAE’s most iconic natural destinations.
