Recent changes to Kuwait's visa policies for all GCC citizens, including those residing in Dubai, have made it simpler to go to one of the most popular places in the region.
With immediate effect, all foreign nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman are now eligible to receive a visa upon arrival at Kuwaiti entry points.
Applicable to all citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council states, the ruling was announced Sunday, August 10.
As a result of the change, about 25 million foreign nationals who reside in the area can now take advantage of the 90-day Kuwaiti visa-on-arrival benefit.
The former visa regulations, which only issued visas upon arrival to GCC citizens who fit specific professional categories, including physicians, engineers, judges, and executives, have now been repealed by Kuwait's Ministry of the Interior.
The visa modification is made in advance of the trial introduction of a broader GCC Unified Travel visa later in 2025.
Although the unified visa's specifics are still being finalized, it will promote travel throughout GCC member states and relax travel restrictions for all locals.
