Miral has announced that the latest expansion of Yas Waterworld on Yas Island will open on April 4, 2026, further boosting the capital’s tourism offerings.
The new phase continues the park’s “Lost City” theme, expanding The Legend of the Lost Pearl, and introduces eight slides, two jump platforms, and a leisure pool—bringing the total number of attractions to more than 70.
One of the standout attractions, Matamir’s Drop, will be the UAE’s tallest waterslide, featuring a drop of over 40 metres and a 233-metre run. Other additions include Sahel Matamir, a high-speed tube racer offering bursts of speed and moments of weightlessness.
Thrill-seekers can also enjoy Matamir Loop, a fast-paced body slide, Matamir Twist – Matamir Lights with immersive lighting effects, and Matamir Splash, a side-by-side racing experience.
Alongside the thrill rides, the expansion also offers family-friendly options, including Sarab, a spacious relaxation pool, and Al Afda, a jump platform for guests to dive into the water.
