Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced on Tuesday that multiple battery-swapping stations for electric bikes will soon be set up at key locations across the city. The initiative aims to promote eco-friendly mobility and boost the use of e-bikes, particularly within the delivery sector.
The rollout is being implemented in partnership with Terra Tech Ltd, a MENA-based B2B micro-mobility technology start-up specializing in battery-swapping solutions. There will be 36 designated sites across Dubai equipped with battery-swapping stations.
RTA and Terra Tech Ltd are partnering to create an integrated system supporting the delivery sector’s shift to eco-friendly e-bikes. The initiative will cut operating costs for companies while promoting sustainable transport and accelerating Dubai’s green mobility goals.
