The Roads and Transport Authority has stated that a new traffic diversion would be built as part of the Dubai Metro Blue Line mega-project. As part of the ongoing renovation, the RTA has announced the installation of a detour in front of International City's popular Dragon Mart. There is a diversion in place from International City 1 Street to E44 Al Awir Road.
The project will cover 30 kilometers and increase connection between numerous significant neighborhoods, including Mirdif, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Creek Harbor, and Dubai Festival City.
Motorists must now use Exit 1 to access new parking spots at Centrepoint Metro Station, as the multi-storey car park's entry from Airport Road was closed on Sunday, September 7.
As part of this diversion, the taxi stands have been relocated from the station's front to behind the parking lot on 49C Street. These diversions overlap with further temporary diversions announced for the September long weekend, including the closure of a critical service road. The service road to Al Khor Station, near the Creek Dubai Metro Station, will be closed. However, a new temporary road has been built nearby in its stead.
