Salik has announced that a 5% VAT will be added to all toll gate charges and Salik tag activation fees from June 1, 2026. The revised charges will increase travel costs for motorists regularly using Dubai’s toll gates.
New Salik toll timings and fees:
Monday to Saturday
6am–10am: Dhs6 + VAT
10am–4pm: Dhs4 + VAT
4pm–8pm: Dhs6 + VAT
8pm–1am: Dhs4 + VAT
1am–6am: No toll
Sunday
6am–1am: Dhs4 + VAT
1am–6am: No toll
Parkin also confirmed that a 5% VAT will apply to parking fees, permits and seasonal subscriptions from June 1. Cash payments at parking meters will be phased out, while nol card payments will continue.
