Sharjah City Municipality has launched Smart Parking Yards to improve parking availability across the emirate, offering a modern alternative to traditional paid parking.
The service operates 24/7 with no free hours, ensuring continuous access for residents and visitors. Equipped with cameras that automatically read licence plates and calculate fees, the yards offer both short-term parking and long-term subscription options.
So far, 10 smart yards providing 2,421 spaces have been introduced, with six more planned to add 1,457 spaces. The facilities are powered by artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and optimise space use.
