Sharjah Municipality has revised public parking hours across the emirate, with paid parking in Sharjah city, Kalba, Khorfakkan, and Al Dhaid set to be enforced until midnight from July 1. Free parking on Fridays and public holidays will remain unchanged, except in designated zones where charges apply every day.
The change aims to improve parking availability, reduce random parking, and increase turnover in busy commercial and residential areas, enhancing services for residents and visitors while supporting Sharjah’s appeal as a place to live and visit.
Sharjah has around 124,000 paid public parking spaces, with fees applying from 8am to midnight under the new system. The municipality has urged motorists to follow parking regulations and pay through available channels such as SMS, the Digital Sharjah app, or seasonal parking subscriptions.
