The UAE has introduced a temporary measure allowing expatriate residents who are currently outside the country and whose residency visas have expired to return without the need to obtain a new entry permit, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) announced.
The measure will be in effect for one month, from February 28 to March 31, and is intended to support residents who were unable to return to the UAE before their visas expired due to exceptional circumstances.
According to the ICP, eligible residents will be allowed to re-enter the country during this period and complete the necessary procedures to regularise their residency status after arriving in the UAE.
