The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been ranked the world’s third-largest donor of humanitarian aid for 2025, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) via its Financial Tracking Service (FTS).
The FTS report shows that the UAE provided $1.46 billion in aid this year, accounting for 7.2% of all assistance tracked by the UN, with global contributions reaching $20.28 billion. This places the UAE behind only the United States and the European Union.

Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, stated that under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE remains firmly committed to strengthening its global role in humanitarian and development efforts.
