The UAE's 30-day visa grace period for people affected by recent regional travel disruptions ends on July 9. Introduced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), the initiative allows eligible visa holders to regularise their status without fines or leave the country without additional procedures. The measure was introduced to help affected individuals comply with UAE regulations and continue living and working in the country legally.
The latest grace period is expected to mainly benefit visit visa holders, particularly those who recently received the March overstay fine waiver. It is unlikely to apply to people with expired residence visas.
