While many major passports declined, the UAE expanded its global mobility advantage through strong international ties and extensive visa-free access.
In 2025, digital travel authorisations grew, with several countries adopting ETAs. Canada also replaced visas for Qatari citizens with ETA access, making Qatar the second GCC nation after the UAE to receive this benefit.
