On Sunday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai, announced the commencement of a new nationwide initiative called "The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World" to teach 10,000 young entrepreneurs.
According to a video published by Sheikh Mohammed, the program would generate 30,000 job opportunities in five years, with more than 50 public and private sector companies taking part.
In collaboration with the New Economy Academy, a new network called Startup Emirates will link young people with entrepreneurs and offer free mentorship programs. The goal of the new campaign is to assist young people in starting their own businesses and engage in a two-way relationship whereby young entrepreneurs profit from the chances and help the country flourish in return.
10,000 Emirati men and women will graduate from the program with a solid understanding of business as well as practical capabilities. It has an advanced track that covers the entire process from starting a business to growing it sustainably and expanding it internationally, as well as a novice course that focuses on key ideas and procedures for prospective business owners.
