His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, officially opened the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikha Badour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority.
Held under the theme “Between You and the Book,” the fair runs from November 5 to 16 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
